Ages & Stages Questionnaires: Scoring and Referral Video

This video seeks to simplify the scoring and interpretation of ASQ-3 results while showing how to use this popular system accurately and sensitively.

After a brief description of ASQ, viewers watch a home visitor guiding a mother as she fills out a questionnaire and tries the ASQ tasks with her infant child.

Designed for early interventionists, home visitors, pediatricians, preschool teachers, OTs, PTs, and SLPs, this video does the following:

1) illustrates how to score and interpret ASQ results;

2) compares the results to the cutoff scores;

3) evaluates sections that are not scored, such as the family information page;

and 4) demonstrates the use of professional judgment to decide if a referral for further assessment is needed.
