Almost every day I am delighted by the discovery of a new idea, work or tool that has been created in the service of children. A quick internet search takes me in a flash to remarkable possibilities that come from sources such as

• Conferences (Parents as Teachers), workshops and seminars bring together fascinating experts from every corner of child development each with a story to tell from their own expertise, study and teaching.

• Practitioners (eceol), with their ear to the ground, reflect the lives of children and with compassion and intelligence as they support them through daily struggles and victories.

This is but a small list of the wealth of accomplishments that comes constantly from our field of endeavor, accomplishments that this space will recognize and applaud.
