In this book Louise Cadwell presents early-childhood educators with ideas from the Reggio Approach for use in their classrooms.

She describes the growth and evolution of the work in the St. Louis Reggio Collaborative over the past 10 years and gives examples of how the Reggio Approach is used in three American schools that have attained a very high level of understanding and practice.

Real-life classrooms are described, including details on the daily routine, parent participation, teacher collaboration, the environment, the documentation of students? work, and assessment. Illustrations of children?s work are featured as well as both black-and-white and color photos of Reggio-inspired classroom interiors and art materials.
