There are no other videos currently available for use in teaching normal development that follow the growth of two children longitudinally. This 20-year project has been created specifically to fill this gap. This stimulus video project is designed for teachers of normal development to use as a teaching aid in their classes. Created by an award-winning teacher this rich resource delivers a diverse and enjoyable selection of short video clips that are designed to stimulate classroom discussion and encourage higher-order learning. The video provides classroom-tested examples of the developing child in realms such as temperament cognition morality gross and fine motor activity verbal ability attachment separation-individuation normal anxiety and utilizing both formal and informal assessment and observation. Academic social and family arenas are addressed including peer group interaction sibling issues and parenting techniques. The 20 year project is 12 hours and 20 minutes total running time with 372 individual clips of two children Sarah and Brian. The complete 8 DVD set includes NDFTYL-CV Complete Version for the First Ten Years of Life (4 DVDs) includes 201 Video clips 6 hours 20 minutes total running time. The separate 42 page Instructor's Manual includes details of each clip and points for discussion. NDMCA-CV Complete Version for Middle Childhood and Adolescence (4 DVDs) includes 171 video clips 6 hours total running time.
