Early Adulthood: The World of Work

This video examines the role that work plays, how the employment scene has changed over time, and the impact that change has on the experiences of young adults.

For most of us, work is more than a paycheck.

It can feed our self-esteem, provide an arena for developing relationships, produce feelings of accomplishment and pride, allow us to express our creativity, foster a sense of community-or utterly fail to do all of the above.

The video also looks at the theories of career development of Ginzberg, Super, and Holland and the occupational cycle of the typical adult as well as at the issues faced by dual-career couples.
