Hello Daniel

The preschool centers described in the tape are operated by Ken-Crest Agency and serve children who are medically fragile and dependent on technology. They use medical devices for breathing, eating, and other bodily functions. 

Because they have spent long days in the hospital and at home tied to their devices they don't develop physically, cognitively, or socially as do other children. The preschool provides early intervention and skilled care that support children and their families as they re-enter the community. In interviews mothers talk about their experiences with their fragile children.

The tape also shows 3-year-old Daniel who has complex medical needs participating in play activities with other children with similar needs. Daniel's mother describes him and talks about the benefits they both derive from the preschool.
