Child care professionals demonstrate how to maximize the learning benefits of young children doing art. This new video training series helps you make the most of it.

Current child care staff and students training for the profession will learn not just how to teach art, but how to strengthen and deepen the experience, so that children learn to be expressive and confident explorers, problem-solvers, and learners.

These on-site videos take you into varying settings where 3-5 year old children are experiencing and learning through the visual arts. Viewers meet and hear the teachers' comments on what is occurring in their classroom.

They discuss their goals for the children, how they support the childrens efforts, and how the visual arts are integrated into the total curriculum. Suggestions for materials and activities and recipes are offered both on the videos and in the accompanying workbook.
