The boy was diagnosed with autism at four after an earlier diagnosis of PDD. During the program, therapists Tawara Taylor and Wayne Jones, PhD focus on the family value of inclusion in family life and in education, the differences in parents' roles in child-rearing, support from sister and friend in providing care, family attitudes toward diagnosis of autism and confronting attitudes within Latino culture toward children with special needs. The family is from a middle-income background and Latino. Setting is in a studio.
