This series of short video clips, filmed to teach child development, follows the normal development of two children, a girl and a boy. They are seen in infancy when they are learning about their world through sensory perceptions, visual and touch experiences. And, they are followed as they learn that their behavior is their own, and they begin to assert their independence. They are seen in early childhood as they become increasingly curious about the surrounding world and often want to emulate adults and older role models in their lives. In,middle childhood the children become highly engaged in learning and exploration, focusing on mastering new skills, expanding their knowledge and spending as much time as possible with friends. And, in adolescencethey are followed as they experience increasing choices and freedom and devote time to exploring different roles, paths and options in their lives.
