One on One: Connecting Cops and Kids documents a ground-breaking training project that offers solutions for creating harmony between law enforcement and the youth of a community.

Positive interaction between law-enforcement officers and children of all ages has an enormously civilizing influence, bringing stability to the lives of children and families and tranquility to neighborhoods.

It also serves to prevent crime and thus to improve officer safety. One on One documents a unique collaboration between three urban police departments (New Haven, Boston, Pittsburgh), the Yale Child Study Center, the Child Witness to Violence Project (Boston), and Family Communications, Inc., the producers of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
